Modernised Everards place in their corporate style, it's not bad and is in good nick. One cask, an old toothless Tiger which the barmaid pulled a pint of and I was stupid not to take it back (NBSS 1.5). Maybe I got unlucky but I didn't see anything here to warrant schlepping out again. 4.5

A little out of Wigston town centre, this was our last pub of the evening in Leicestershire. No visit to the county can be complete without trying an Everard's pub. So, this was our pick and it was frankly disappointing.
The bar is immediately in front of you as you enter from the disabled car parking at the front (the main car park is a fair walk from the rear). Seating is either side of the bar.
TVs were showing something that nobody was watching, whilst there was a general hubbub about the place, primarily caused by the rowdy group of locals stood at the bar. They were all well oiled.
The real ale here comes by way of Tiger. But a bonus for me was Rosie's Pig cider on handpull.
There is a separate outbuilding adjacent to the car park, that apparently contains a bowling alley.
Not the best ending to an enjoyable day in Leicestershire, but clearly popular with the locals.

Called in on a Saturday evening where most of the customers were mainly middle aged. There was 4 interesting cask beers on the go plus an ageing rock band that seemed to cater for everyone's musical taste. Not a bad locals pub
