Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Beacon
One of increasingly rare things, a thriving estate pub. It's probably a bit older than it looks, since it has been given a substantial refurbishment both outside and within fairly recently, but the separate bar and lounge layout hasn't changed. Also has outdoor seating areas at the front, side and rear (although the latter is mostly under marquees as cover). As an Everards house, I found the 'limited edition' / seasonal Hi-Score (£5.20), Rockabilly and Solstice on handpump in addition to the expected Tiger.

The Beacon is a long standing Everards tied house that i visited many years ago.
Once inside the pub still has the two separate rooms, with a bar room to the front and lounge to the rear.
The bar faces on entry to the front room which is oblong shaped and bare boarded, there is comfy bench seating and chairs plus two tall tables and chairs in the middle of the room, there is a pool table and darts board to the left,a TV to the left was showing music videos.
The lounge to the rear was being used for a private party.
There were three real ales on the bar,i had a drink of Everards Sunchaser, which was not on top form, probably because everybody else was drinking lager, the other real ales were Everards Tiger Bitter and Midland Red.
I thought this was a decent pub on my revisit.
