Punch pub. Knocked around a bit but the place hangs together alright and the impressive varnished carved wood lower servery and Countesthorpe decal are quality selling points. ‘Blokes and sports’ on the whole with muted Sky Sports News and World Cup flag bunting up. Three cask, a classic Punch line up of Doom, Pride and Landlord, the latter of which was pretty good and shifting on a Tuesday afternoon (NBSS 3.5). Friendly barmaid as well. 6.5

Entered with disabled friend to find just one normal table sited as far as possible from the door underneath the telly. Rest of the pub was high tables and stools, impossible to use. Departed.
Massive fail.

The Bulls Head is in the centre of Countesthorpe.
Once inside there was a room to the front which was fairly narrow and the bar was facing,this room was carpeted and had bench seating,there was a pool table to the right and there was also a large TV screen which was showing normal tv programmes.
There were two real ales on here and i had a drink of Bass and this was a fairly decent drink the other beer was Bombadier.
This was a nice comfortable pub to sit and relax in.
