Early opener, so in I went. A few salty locals already in situ on the pool table. Interior of the pub is quite tidy – loosely nautical themed with wood panelling, good quality wood floor and three sets of U shaped banquettes. LED cabling flashing though the colours of the rainbow seemed a bit much for 11.15am. Four naked cask pumps so a substandard Guinness had to do. Locals seemed intrigued to see me but were harmless enough. The interior makes it worth a nose if you’re so inclined that way; could be a good quality alehouse in the right hands.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bounty

Intriguing-looking pub, given a semi-nautical treatment inside at some stage with remnants such as the wardroom-style wood-panelling and large wooden casks still there. Three of the four handpumps were in use, offering Bass, Old Speckled Hen and Bateman's Summer Swallow (£3.00). However, based on my visit, it's the fizzier drinks, pool table and (loud) jukebox that interest the younger clientele.
