The L-shaped interior of the Cask and Feather houses a pool table to the right of the entrance and seating down the left-hand wall that is faced by the long bar. On the rear wall is a huge projector screen for showing live sports, as are the multiple plasma screens located throughout. Muted Sky Sports News was being aired whilst some background music played during a recent late Monday afternoon visit. On the wall to the left of the entrance is a dartboard. Tables and chairs are on the oche but could easily be moved.
A standard keg range is available from the bar that also supports three hand pumps that were drawing Sharp’s Doom Bar, Cumbria Way Golden Ale and Castle Rocks Harvest Pale. On the back bar is a Slushy machine for making frozen cocktails. I didn’t see any food advertisement but there is a heated glass display case on the bar. This was empty, but I imagine it is usually full of bar food.
This is a pleasant enough sports bar that I would have no problem revisiting.

Up the hill from the Metrotram thingy. 3 cask ales available. Descriptions elsewhere but it is a decent friendly pub. Lots of tellies to watch your favourite team or horse get beat.

This L-shaped pub, just a short walk from Rochdale train station, is the home of the Greenmill Brewery whose brew house can be found at the back of the pub. The pub comprises of two notional sections, with the long space running from the entrance to the back of the room having the majority of the seating including some leather banquettes and some comfy tub chairs. The room is carpeted and there were a couple of TV screens on showing rolling news and This Morning when I visited just after opening last Saturday. The other section, to the right of the front door is a more compact wooden floor space which has been filled with a pool table. There are a few pictures dotted around the walls, many of which depict famous buildings such as the Eiffel Tower and Empire State Building. There is also a dartboard at the rear of the pub near the door to the toilets. Loud pop music was playing during my visit, which seemed out of place at such a time of day.
There are three handpulls at the bar and I was able to choose from Greenmill Gold, Phoenix Navvy and Cottage MGB. I couldn’t pass up the chance to try a Greenmill brew, but thought the Gold was a bit past its best, which was a shame. An extensive food menu is detailed on a large blackboard and seemed reasonably priced.
This is a fairly solid pub with enough about it to recommend and although it doesn’t match up to some of Rochdale’s top pubs, it is well worth including on any crawl around town.
