This pub has been a bit buggered about with - knocked though, with lots of grey and blue paint giving a dark feel apart from a red bar front. And the nice ceiling beams have been covered in fairy lights for no obvious reason. The beers seemed ok though, with two from Windsor & Eton on handpump.

Nice warm,painted wood panel clad pub Busy for lunch.3 cask beers on and my W+eton football themed beer was top notch.Again well decorated for the festive season.Unfortunate change of name just now but might soon be called just The Harry.

Sadly it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped. Took too long to revisit and this time there was just the one W&E on - Guardsman - which was so-so. Otherwise I think it was Pride.

Seems to have some changes for the better in here. Whilst the interior has changed little (the fabric banquettes are looking somewhat tired these days), there are now three W&E ales at the bar - Guardsman, Conqueror and Mandarin on our visit – plus 20% off a pint CAMRA discount. Both the Mandarin and Conqueror were in pretty good form as well. Perhaps a more foody slant, can’t recall anyone eating here before. Genuinely surprised and quite enjoyed our brief stop-off. Would say it’s worth a go now. Dare I give it a 7? It’d feel strange doing so, maybe one more visit required…Rated 7

A place that always flatters to deceive – the carpeted L-shaped interior is quite nice and cosy (especially at Christmas) but the beer is mediocre at best and sometimes downright terrible. Perhaps worth going for some of the more unusual punters that appear in there on a Saturday night. Rated 3
