Looks rather tempting from the outside, what with the Victorian style elevated clock and all. Sadly the interior is knocked through and lost a lot of what would have been proper character. Fairly naff red, white and black colour scheme, plus artex ceiling. The bar area has at least been done-up and looks ok. Immediately right as you enter is a small oddly-raised area. Just Doom Bar on but the liquid I had didn't taste like it and was warm and tart. Oddly enough the piped music of choice was some sort of Krautrock - possibly the only real redeeming feature alongside a leggy blonde lass in tight trews who had my companion drooling. Could be good, but isn’t.

Currently closed and looks as if it has been for a while. Planning notices suggest interior refurbishments retaining a bar and an illuminated exterior sign. Owned by Punch.
