This is probably the premier real ale pub in the town, and was absolutely packed on my December 14 visit. Couldn't really move in the bar because it was heaving. There were about 6 handpumps, and my selection slips my mind unfortunately, but it was fine. The pub is bigger than it looks, and I sat in a large room to the right which was quieter. They're obviously doing something right, and I'll try to return at a quieter time. Good to see a traditional pub doing so well.
