Alan Winfield left this review about Yate's Wine Lodge
Yates's was a large pub that was housed in a large old looking building, the pub was situated on the opposite corner to the Feathers pub.
Once inside there was one very large room with a long bar facing, the seating was mainly normal tables and chairs.
There were two real ales on the bar,i had a drink of John Smiths bitter which was on handpump, this was a decent enough drink, the other beer was Boddingtons bitter.
Sadly Yates's closed down, the pub ended its days as Legends a fun pub.
