The George Inn consists of an island bar with two dartboards to the left and a pool table at the rear. It was busy with a vocal local crowd early on the recent Friday evening I visited and I found the service to be very friendly. There is a plasma screen that was switched off and I didn’t note the presence of any advertised Sky Sports, but there is a jukebox that was playing some background music.
The bar is stocked with standard draught and supports three hand pumps. One of these was unused and the other two were off with what looked like the same pump clips.

This place is ok as a local pub but I wouldn’t go out of my way to revisit.

Very busy town centre pub. owned by Garry and Jan who along with Tammy and the rest of the team run a very good house. the locals are very friendly, you wont sit alone for long
