Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Royal Oak

With Dover's surviving pubs being a hit or (mostly) miss experience for the casual visitor, this side-street establishment proved a very welcome exception to the general rule... The multi-space, refurbished interior is surprisingly appealing and welcoming, and a beer garden can be found up the slope behind the building. Limited (but seemingly popular) stone-baked pizza menu. Greene King IPA and an excellent The Pardoners from Canterbury Ales (£4.00) available from two of the three handpumps.
