Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Boars Head
Backstreet local located a few minutes west of the station, but you are unlikely to find it by chance. Partly opened-out U-shaped layout, with the bar centre and right (with a pool area beyond) and more of a lounge to the left. Live music seems to be the big thing here, with various events advertised on the A-frame outside, and a singer setting up during my Sunday afternoon visit. Disappointingly, no real ale is available, so I went for the Shipyard American Pale Ale from Marston's (£4.30) instead.
