Strongers . left this review about The Three Tuns

The Three Tuns is a Greene King pub with an island bar that serves high tables on a flagstone floor up the right where a large television sits on the wall, and three more high tables, one of which is a repurposed barrel, with high stools at the rear. To the left are some tables and chairs adjacent to an inglenook with a hooded burner on the left-hand wall. Available from the counter were standard and premium keg options and three of the four hand pumps were in operation drawing GK’s IPA and world cup themed 4-4-Brew alongside St Austell’s Tribute. Apparently, this is a 15th century pub with a Roman theatre below, but all I got were high street chain pub vibes.

Large backstreet pub on what were presumably once busy thoroughfares but now a bit of a backwater. A very traditional feel with numerous different rooms arranged around the bar. Beers are restricted to Greene King, with IPA, Abbot and a very drinkable Gold Speckled Hen at time of visit.

Venerable backstreet pub, now with regular Greene King branding. Although substantially refurbished, it still retains some character in the various seating / dining areas around the central bar (with its two counters), despite the semi-modern furniture and decor. Just IPA and the seasonal Rocking Rudolph (£3.90) available from two of the four handpumps, with a reversed Abbot clip also noted.
