Exactly my sort of pub.... interesting architecturally, rebuilt in 1898 in the arts and crafts style. Loved the little external alcove, with the tiled floor and crystal glass with the pub name on it.
Inside, a little stripped out.
Its the drinks range that really did it for me.... Would take too long to detail, but I'll give you my highlights.... Bewdley Brewery on Cask - from my home town and the first time I have seen it out the Wyre Forest, let alone so far from home. Stille Nacht on draught - an unseasonal and unsual choice. £12 a pint but at 12% you dont have it in pints, as I explained to the enthusiastic youth behind the bar. Kernal. Deya and plenty of ciders on draught.
A collection of fiddle players were setting up in the corner. Seemed fitting.
Full of beer-fans.
Exactly the reason I am a beer tourist.

An eye catching exterior with a historic interior that has sadly been somewhat stripped out, the pub is all about the beer with eight handles on the bar with a choice of 360 Volks ESB, Arbor Rocket Man, Buxton Double Back, Left Handed Giant Galaxy Pale, Marble Ryes Against with two from Thornbridge, Astryd and Jaipur Noir, Added to this around fourteen top level craft keg, four or five premium lager plus bottles and cans from the fridge. All in all a bit of a beer emporium.

This is my sort of pub.Must have been impressive in its day but struggling on now.Some origonal features still left.Good range of cask and keg.Friendly staff and customers made my visit enjoyable.
