Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Monks Head
This recently reopened terraced cottage-style pub has a couple of small seating areas around the compact counter plus a basic beer garden at the back. Not quite as traditional inside as one might expect, with the plain furniture offset by several garish signs and screens. No real ale these days unfortunately, so resorted to the inevitable John Smith's (£5.40 with a packet of peanuts).

A small backstreet boozer just off the A20 in a Victorian terrace. The main bar fills most of the ground floor, and there is a small drinking area on a mezzanine. Two large inglenook fireplaces dominate the bar which also houses a tv, mainly used for watching football, and a gaming machine. Staff were friendly, but the locals were cliquey and unwelcoming. The interior is gloomey, the exposed beams making it feel a bit claustrophobic rather than cosy, and the noise coming from the jukebox was awful. Only one ale on, GK IPA, which was poorly kept. Best left to the locals.
