As the name implies, a good example of brewers' tudor style and very appropriate to its suburban location. The interior retains the wood panelling and other features but all painted grey. A connected 3 room layout includes a public bar with 2 pool tables and darts, a lounge with benches and armchairs, and a tabled room for diners, nicely dressed with flowers. At the back is a substantial beer garden complete with kids area. Draught beers are restricted to IPA and Abbot but in good condition and the whole pub has a smartly turned-out feel. A useful suburban local.

A horseshoe shaped bar serves a public bar at the front and a larger comfortable lounge bar at the back. There’s also a big beer garden which is popular with families in the Summer month(s). Extensive menu which is good value for money. Three hand pumps one was off the others were 6X, which I think is a regular, and Bateman’s Classic English Pale Ale which was good. Service was very good and all in all this is a good community pub.
