The entrance to the Dolphin is from the left where the large car park is located, there are a couple of electric charging points for those with EV’s. Through the entrance there’s a dining area to the left in the left rear of the pub where a nice beer garden can be seen through the rear patio doors. To the right of the entrance, in the front left of the pub are some tables and chairs in a carpeted area. The tile floored bar runs across the front of the pub where the serving counter faces a strip of standing room before high tables across the front windows. More seating is found to the right of the counter and in the right rear is a games area with a pool table, dartboard and more high tables. Televisions throughout were airing muted tennis via Sky Sports while background music played to the aged Wednesday early afternoon crowd. This is a Greene King pub so their IPA and Abbot were available from the two out of three operational hand pumps. Premium keg and Neck Oil were also available from the very friendly young barman. Being not long after lunch I decided to have the lasagne, which was obviously microwaved, but it was ok for the money. I’ve been in worse GK pubs.
