Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Red Lion Hotel
Substantial inn located on the historic alignment of Watling Street, still retaining its letting rooms and the separate Avalon restaurant. The main bar has been opened out from a number of smaller rooms, but provides a comfortable environment with a variety of seating areas. There is also a resonable number of open air tables at the front of the building. As a Youngs house, Ordinary and Special (£3.20, and on good form) are available from handpump plus Doom Bar as a guest ale. Overall, I could perhaps have done without the background jazz music but otherwise this proved to be a good place for a pint.
