Quite a nice pub,a single walk round room with a central island bar, various upholstered seating all around, unfortunately this is a Greene King pub and the beers were not overly exciting, three beers were available from the four handpumps, Morland Original,London Glory and St Edmond's.
I liked the pub, not the beer.

Appears to have changed style again having been well tarted up and selling Greene King's delicious ales, so I didn't bother staying for a drink.

Have to say as a pub, it wasn’t my cup of tea, but then I prefer my pub interiors to be traditional, and especially after seeing the very nice etched glass Victorian window exterior the inside came as a bit of a surprise.
The Green Man is one of the four venues to be Jazzed up by local entrepreneur and interior decorator owner Jayne Gillin and I can’t say what’s been done here isn’t smart and funky. And as I understand it was formerly a tired back street drinker’s local that was in danger of closing, so rather this than a shut pub.
However I will be leaving this one to those of you that like stripy cloth covered seats, drip sparkly chandeliers and cartoon lampshades, and probably have more focus on the impressive wine list than the Ale pumps.
It is also a fairly trendy restaurant in the dining room upstairs that scores fairly highly on Trip Advisor, but cannot comment on that as we were only here for a pint. And in that respect for the record there are four ale pumps on the bar with one off and two others dispensing GK ales in the shape of Morlands Original and St Edmunds Ale. The fourth had a very average Black sheep and I’m sure I got charged £3.80 for a pint of it, which was another reason we didn’t return here and wont be next time were in Winchester.
