I had a BOGOF offer for Fathers' Day, it would have been rude to refuse, so popped in around 1100 Saturday morning
I was the only customer
Pictures of new look on their facebook page
The revamp has sort of purple theme to it, plus harlequin wall paper, now has doors to partition off an area for private party, leaving do etc
On right as you enter, by side door, there is now a child themed room, you may wish to head here, or walk right by avoiding them all
had kiddy trap of remote crane machine, you know the sort, work the crane grab a bear
Still two TVs, on mute during my visit, pool table, juke box and gaming machine
Three hand pumps, one clip turned round, I chose Hobgoblin, decent pint
Food remains Marston's food factory fodder, but there is a specials board, no food tried or seen so cannot comment on that
No longer serves breakfast at 0900, recent Sainsbury opening in nearby town killed that off with their cafe

As before, not worth a special trip, but if in area worth dropping in

Join us when we re-open at 5pm on Friday 12th June with a brand new look, new drinks and a great new menu.

Just an update, went for a Christmas lunch here today with a group of about 30[noon Wednesday], two draughts on, Hobgblin & English Pale Ale, plus one clip turned round, normal array of keg etc
I had Hobgoblin, then keg Strongbow, both OK
No changes to layout, except of course had Christmas decorations
Food was fine, obviously not Jamie Oliver etc, but for the price reasonable. I had steak, which was cooked as requested,
The new managers seem to have extended their offering, not on just food,they now do take away, check their web site to see full details
Staff, although young, were very friendly, polite, clean & helpful
Summary as before, not one to make a special trip for, but if looking for somewhere safe to take the kids, or granny in Waterlooville area this may well suit you
