Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Red Lion

Modern(ish) Greene King 'Meet & Eat' outlet in Portchester's dull shopping precinct, and a world away from the Cormorant a mile down the road near the castle. Anonymous from the street, and with a formulaic pubco interior, its hard to see anybody treasuring this one, although it was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon (in the absence any immediate competition, no doubt). Just IPA (£2.90) and Abbot available from the four handpumps, but the beer was fine (even if the slightly surly attitude of the barmaid left something to be desired...).
