Well described by others below, we found this excellent hybrid pub welcoming cheerful and inclusive. They sell superb beers at reasonable prices, consumed in convivial company and without electronic distractions. They certainly discourage the use of phones and there is no WiFi as they’d rather people spoke to each other. Looking across the row of handpumps we observed a stack of cider boxes, but given the ale choices we didn’t explore those – on cask were St Austell’s Jingle All The Way, Three acre’s Christmas Old Ale, Glastonbury’s Black As Yer ‘At, plus two from Fine Tuned, Jingle Barrel and Candied Light. If that wasn’t enough, there was a keg range of Piece Of The Pie from Pano, Mena Dhu, Siren Time Words Strata, Double Diamond (the new version, obviously),Duration Good Times, and Diamonds In The Mud from Delphic. In my opinion this is Andover’s best pub and I’ll make a point of revisiting.

The Micro pub is set up in one half of the old Lamb Inn, the other half seperatly is The Gin Palace Bar. Still reasonably sized inside and actually being part of an old pub it is exactly the same as drinking in a traditional pub,the L shaped room has a wooden floor ,oakbeamed ceiling etc. There are five handpumps and on my visit four beers of an interesting nature available,Plain Ales Incognito, Broadstone Rapid Acsent, Exeter Ales Exile Wicked Wolf and Exeter Ales Pathfinder Cheeseburger Chaser which despite the odd name was really quite good.Backing this up are five craft taps featuring first division brewers, Deya and Verdant to name a couple.
There was a Cider which evaded my notes and now my memory. With out a doubt the best drinking establishment in a rather average town.
