Entered Friday early evening there were quite a lot of workmen in but the atmos was friendly. The pub looks oldy worldy from the outside but the inside decor was fairly modern and you could tell it had been decked out for eating with straight back wooden chairs. The menu looked good however nobody was eating at that time. A large orangery to the left of the bar that looked out on to the garden was nice along with an excellent decked smoking/drinking area round the back. There a pool table which was well placed in a mini tap room to the side but I couldn't spot a fruit or quiz machine but the place is big and was quite busy so I may have missed them. Music played quietly so conversation flowed it was queen on a loop tape at that time. They had two hand pump real ales on which were both excellent think they were moorhouses and bombardier however at £3.20 a pint we thought it was a bit expensive, but the barmaid did top it up to the very top which was good and a rare skill. Gonna give it a 7 due to the price of the ale, however I would defo go in again. the place appears to be spinning a lot of plates from eatery to boozer, along with family pub and numerous posters of quizzes and singers and they seem to be doing a good job keeping them all rotating.
