A very large pub. To the left is a games lounge with pool and darts with very smart leather look button seating round the outside. There's a very large lounge also with smart seating and a stage which features live music on Fridays. There is also a large screen for sport and a jukebox. There's some interesting glass in the ceiling and some good prints around the walls. 3 handpumps on the bar serving changing guests. On my visit they were Hobgoblin, Spitfire & Theakstons Black Bull. Coming next were Adnams Ghost Ship & Wychwood Dogs Bollocks. Not the most inventive selection maybe, but pretty good considering that this pub was keg only not very long ago. I tried the Spitfire which was in good nick and had a bit of a chat with some friendly locals. This is a very smart pub that is also trying to be a community pub with various charity events taking place over the next few months. If I lived around here I'd split my time between here and the nearby Crown. The other half would prefer here. :-))
