Strongers . left this review about The Bridge Inn
The Bridge Inn is a long thin pub with a bar area to the left and a pool table to the right with seating further right. During a recent early Thursday evening visit it was lights out in the right side of the pub so the handful of locals were all sat around the small U-shaped bar counter conversing with the friendly barmaid. I counted five handpumps, two of which were unused leaving JW Lees Dark and Bitter (x2). I went for the Lees Lager from the standard keg range. It wasn’t the best, think the line could do with a clean.
To the left of the bar is some seating that is overlooked by a television that was showing Coronation Street and a large display case full of Corgi and Matchbox type model cars. There is also a jukebox which was off and the Halloween decorations were going up over three weeks before the event. Halloween has become the new Christmas in some parts of Oldham! This pub serves the local community well, but I don’t think it’s worth the march from the town centre to visit again.

A really old fashioned northern pub with the best juke box I have ever come across. (George Formby, Classics, Opera in addition to virtualy everything from 1950 onwards!) Good beer (John Willie Lees) and a great atmosphere.

The Bridge Inn is a small Lees tied house in an industrial area of Oldham.
I had a drink of Lees bitter which was quite nice.
Pub visited 20 July 1989.
