Rough and ready local's pub serving the estate. Didn't even look open when I went past and I had to double-back when I saw someone emerge. Basic inside, a three-pronged interior with drinking off left, darts alley in the middle and a conservatory style corridor with decent views across the way. Two cask pumps labelled with Doom Bar and Tribute but neither were on, so a bottle of the latter sufficed for a reasonable 4 quid. Three fruit machines, TV football, Sweet Caroline blaring out and robust locals. Must have been a wood fire somewhere as I could smell it. Got a friendly cheerio from behind the bar as I left, so an extra mark there as I certainly didn’t fit their demographic.

I have been to this pub alot lately and have always been made welcome by not only the landlady and landlord Donna & Martin but by the whole pub. They have sport on the telly most nights,a pool table jukebox full of old sixtys tunes as well as the more up todate music. Pop in on a sunday the whole pub is packed and sometimes they have discos karaokes or live music. They also have a thriving darts team and it is rumoured that there will soon be a weekly quiz night. So pop along to this local and enjoy a great pint of beer.
