lovely looking thatched roofed pub - i can’t review the main building though as it’s currently closed- too cramped and awkward for social distancing apparently. However the beer garden and function room are open with one way queuing in operation. The bar room felt like a social club on a council estate, kids and dogs running around and the stage for entertainment very prominent. However it was friendly enough and served two decent ales too, Mad Goose and Landlord. Beer garden being geared up for live music later in August.

Friendly and popular pub with great real ales as well as the usual beers & lagers. When the weather is good the beer garden at the side is very pleasant. Even has free wifi ! My favourite pub whenever I get the chance to visit Bishops Cleeve.

My visit to the attractive village of Bishop's Cleeve was a fleeting one on this occasion, so I wasn't able to sample the delights of The Kings Head. Situated near a round a bout next to a VERY busy main road, the Kings Head it never-the-less an attractive c17 thatched pub - one of only a handful of thatched pubs in Gloucestershire.
