Very attractive and well-kept half timbered pub in Vintage Inns chain. The aged appearance continues inside, with lots of woodwork and all nicely furnished. Much of the pub given over to dining, but a comfortable bar area to the front. Garden behind as well at the tables on the front lawn. Ales not hugely exciting - Ghost Ship, London Pride and Doom Bar - but seemed in good condition. More for eating than a night out with the lads, but very pleasant.

A traditional attractive pub that looks out of place in the surroundings. The inside has not been ruined by an unsympathetic refurbishment. Food is a big part of the trade, although there were three real ales available, and an area to drink them in. We will return.
