Popular village pub that doubles as both the village boozer and as a Greek restaurant. Indeed, the owner is Greek and he appears to run a fairly tight ship.
On our Saturday lunchtime visit, it was busy with both diners and drinkers. Although, I'm sure the majority were there for the food. The car park to the rear was full to overflowing and some kind of hog roast was in full swing in the garden.
Inside, there is a drinking area to the front of the pub with seating in both the bay windows and around the bar. A TV was showing the European Championship football above the left-hand bay window. The dining area is to the rear right.
This is a Greene King pub. Their IPA is the regular beer, but there is a second beer from their range. On our visit, this was Morland Old Speckled Hen.

Located just off a bend in the road in the centre of the village, this is a GK pub which was doing a roaring Sunday lunchtime trade on my stop-off. There were considerably less imbibing, and with just the option of GK IPA (two other handles were unclipped), I could see why. There's seating in both of the large bay-type windows, with a chamfered L-shaped bar opposite and to the left and a dining room to the right, partially hidden by a glass screen. The seating area to the right was a riot of dark reds and purples with a couple of sofas and garish wallpaper and a fireplace up against the right-hand wall. Maybe I caught it at a bad time, but the uninspiring ale selection and décor put me off a little and I can't see myself returning any time soon.
