Well, having heard so much hype after the renovation, and joining their 'VIP' club, my husband and I decided to pay them a visit for Sunday lunch. The garden is superb, catering mainly for children as it always has done, and the interior design is both visually pleasing and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming, so no complaints there. It all started to go downhill when we ordered drinks. A glass of rose and a pint of lager shandy came to £8.60, competing with London prices. Our roasts were served with no spoons for either the vegetables nor the apple sauce, and I noticed that the couple on the next table were not provided with steak knives, so obviously there is a cutlery problem.
