My recent midweek late evening visit to the Sussex Coaster was fleeting as I only had ten minutes before the hourly number 12 bus passed to take me home. Thankfully there wasn’t much to see as the pool and dart room was closed and the only people in the pub were six or so locals that were propping up the bar that offered some standard draught products alongside Harveys Best and Pride from hand pump. The pub is L-shaped and there is a plasma screen on a column by the entrance and there is also a TV behind the bar, but I’m not sure if Sky Sports is shown. There is a jukebox that wasn’t playing very loudly and lunch is served from midday until 14:30 – 14:00 on a Sunday.

I’ve been in better pubs, but I will return as I didn’t get to stay as long as I would have liked and I still have another pub to visit in the area.
