Harvey's pub in the quiet backstreets of Hove, with 4 of the house ales across 6 pumps. It's busy, though not crowded late afternoon. A pint of Pell's Pale on cask set me back £6.10, which seems to be pretty much standard in this part of town.

Tables are both low and high though if you like your seat to match, I'd advise selecting one of the former (while my chair was of the correct height, there was barely room to manoeuvre myself into it).

Worth a visit, but now I have, I doubt I'll return for some time.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Poets Ale & Smoke House

Tucked away in a residential street, this very attractive Harvey's corner pub has some fine detailing on both elevations and retains two bars with back-to-back serveries in the middle. While the main lounge has been refurbished in a slightly Bohemian style, the smaller public bar has a traditional dark-wood interior. There are also several black-painted wooden booths out front and a part-covered yard beer garden to the rear. Sussex Best, Old Ale (£5.90) and Armada Ale available from the various handpumps on both counters. Pleasant atmosphere early on a Saturday lunchtime, so I enjoyed my brief stop here.

A trip to Sussex isn't really a trip to Sussex without visiting a Harvey's. This corner pub in a residential area can be found in the Good Beer Guide. Unsurprisingly, Sussex Best Bitter is the regular beer. In addition, they also had their Old Ale & Armada Ale. Keg options were Harvey's Wharf IPA & Pells Pale & Beavertown Neck Oil. There was no real cider that I could see.

Basic pub grub is served. Wednesday is 2 for 1 on wings. So, we had 4 portions between us to keep us going for the final run-in of our crawl.

There are a couple of rooms and I thought it was quite a nice atmosphere in here with friendly bar staff and some fairly inobtrusive music playing.
