A Georgian town hotel, once a coaching inn, which dominates the town square, currently operated by Old English Inns. It has been well kept and is in good order. The main bar is carpeted, and there are comfortable eating, drinking and relaxing areas. Staff are a bit aloof, but the majority of the clientele are quite normal and happy to chat. Free wifi is available and they are dog-friendly. There is a reasonable selection of wines. Beers are supplied by GK, and I had several pints of Speckled Hen just for quality assurance purposes. It's a good place to spend time and worth including in a crawl or coming for a meal.
