As described by Strongers, below, this historic town centre pub now suffers from being run by Greene King, meaning the building and ts character are overshadowed by corporate decor and a shortage of good beer - GK IPA was the only ale option, plus a range of standard keg offerings which were less inspiring. The barman was engaging enough, telling us he had been there for 40 odd years, so he remembers the days of Jumping Jimmy Thunder and Tommy's Burger Bar, and the evenings when the Navy and Army customers used to clash outside the pub. Nostalgia, however, doesn't make this a good pub, and it's now not a great venue, so I doubt I'll be rushing back.

The White Hart is located in the pedestrianized area of Weymouth next to the shopping centre. There are some picnic tables outside the front that were popular when I walked by on a recent clement weekday afternoon. I managed to pop in later that evening when the pub was very quiet and found a big pub with a large central bar. The seating surrounds the bar and there is a plasma screen and fireplace either end of the pub.
Cheap food is available during the day and the bar is stocked with standard draught along with two cask options which were Bombardier and Scrumpy cider.

The service was polite, but there are more interesting pubs in this area.

It's been a while since I've been in there.

They used to do karaoke on a Wednesday night but not sure if they still do so.

From what I remember it was a cosy pub with a good atmosphere. I hope it's still like that.
