From a simple pin map to a fully timed, train-connected route — it's up to you how detailed you want to get.
Almost everything in the planner is optional. At its simplest, you pick some pubs and get a map. Add as much or as little detail as you like from there.
Head to the Pub Crawls page and click Create New Pub Crawl. Give it a name — you can change this later in Settings.
The editor opens on the Add Pubs tab. Move the map to wherever you want to crawl — nearby pubs appear as a list on the right. Click Add on any pub to include it in your crawl. You can also click a marker on the map to see more details about a pub before adding it.
Switch to the Arrange Route tab. Your pubs appear as a numbered list. Drag them up and down to reorder the route into the sequence that makes most geographical sense — or just the order you fancy visiting them.
You can also mark any pub as a wildcard — these appear on the map but aren't part of the main timed route. Good for backups or bonus options.
In Settings you can set a start time for the crawl and a default minutes per pub. The planner uses these to calculate an arrive/leave schedule for every pub.
You can also override the time for individual pubs by clicking the pin icon next to any pub in the route list to fix its exact arrive or leave time.
In the Arrange Route tab, hit Calculate Walking Times. This fetches real walking durations between each pub in order and displays them in the route list. Walking routes also appear on the map when you click the bar between two pubs.
Once walking times are calculated, click Auto-Calculate Schedule to automatically set the time at each pub so that the walk to the next one is included — you'll arrive exactly when expected after leaving the previous pub.
If the crawl starts or ends near a train station, add it in Settings by typing the station name. You can set your arrive time at the start station and depart time at the end station. The walking time from the station to the first pub (and from the last pub to the end station) will be shown in the route.
Each pub has a Notes option where you can add anything useful — opening times, why you love the place, what to drink there. Between pubs you can also add a Transport note, for example if you need to catch a bus between two stops.
In Settings, toggle List this crawl publicly to make it appear in the public crawls list. Or keep it unlisted — it's still viewable by anyone with the link, so you can share it with your group privately.
On the view page, use the Share button to copy the link, and the Get Directions button on any marker to get walking directions from your current location to that pub.
