You'll need your Travelcard for this one (or a good pair of walking shoes). Not the most salubrious pubs in London (most of them never were) but worth a visit for their associations with crims and crime - famous crims, such as the Kray lads and Jack the Ripper, and famous crimes of murder, robbery and suchlike - enjoy!

Spaniards Inn (1)
	It is alleged that the famous highwayman, Dick Turpin, lived here as a boy and they claim to have his pistol in the bar.

Magdala (2)
	In 1955 Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in Britain, pumped six shots into her lover, David Blakely, outside the Magdala - thereby ruining his evening.

Prince Arthur (3)
	The pub’s landlady, Carol Fife, was fatally stabbed by former barman Gregory Mills in 1998 during a £2,500 robbery that went wrong.

The Star Tavern (4)
	It is alleged the Great Train Robbery was plotted in the Star’s upstairs dining room back in 1963. Today you might need to rob a train to pay for a round of drinks!

The Old Bank Of England (5)
	Apparently the former kitchens below were once run by a Miss Lovett, whose locally sourced organic meat was purveyed by boyfriend Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Watch out for fingernails in the pies!

	Notable as a haunt of Jack the Ripper - two of his prostitute victims, including Mary Kelly, frequented here before having a ripping time!

Blind Beggar (7)
	Well, you've got to visit at least once (and probably only once!). Not what it was and overly-expensive, but this is where Ronnie Kray shot George Cornell in the head on 9th March 1966. Nice one Ron!
