Guildford shopping High street is largely a pleasant pedestrianised area with a good range of retail outlets, in which, if your good lady is anything like mine, could get lost for a few hours browsing.
So here's a suggestion to what you could do whist your credit card is off taking some abuse..

	Nice period ex-Nicholson house at the top end of the High Street

The Keep (2)
	Fine small back steet pub just off the High Street near the castle.

	Period pub with historic interior and very nice outside drinking area
