The Blue Boar, Poole

A very clean and tidy Fullers pub tucked away around the back lanes of Old Poole. Huge amounts of Naval artifacts on the walls and suspended from the ceilings. In the main bar area there were smouldering log fires at each end which gave the pub a nice woodsmoke smell. I had a pint of Bengal Lancer that was very good. As far as I recall there was also the ubiquitous London Pride and ESB. On the day of my visit there seemed to be a couple of extra TVs in the bar for the Rugby Internationals. These looked out of place but I presume it was a temporary arrangement. All in all, probably the best pub that I visited on the day and one that I would certainly return to.
