Visited 13/04/26 No cask. Keg offering of Staro, Carling, Coors, Budweiser, Aspall, Madri, Guinness, and the AF version on draught. Spotted this one on first ever visit to the Red Dragon centre, an entertainment complex near the concert hall in Cardiff Bay. The entrance is inside the centre, which also houses an Odeon cinema and several restaurants, but this was the only bar as far as I could tell. It is the left-hand end of the Hollywood Bowl venue and is bare boarded apart from a large chessboard tile skirt along the left-hand wall of the L shape venue. There is a fabric banquette to the left of the entrance serving regular tables with then a mix of regular and tall tables in the main floor space and down the right-hand wall until a couple of booth tables in the rear right-hand corner of the bar area. There are a couple of pool tables in the rear along with plenty of fruit machines before the rear opens out into the multi-lane bowling alley. No screens in the bar area, some large, illuminated signs over the bar counter and a high tempo pop soundtrack. In the front left-hand corner to the side of the bar counter is an additional seating area roped off on my visit but housing back-to-back banquettes each serving large tables plus a few more regular tables. There are a lot of enamel USA based signs on the walls and lighting is quite low.
