The Albert Inn, Totnes

Curious place, Totnes. Three Good Beer Guide Pubs and at midday on a Sunday, only one of them open. This one. Just over the bridge, this is the taproom for Bridgetown Brewery. Our Sunday visit was day three of a beer festival. After perusing the chalk board, my first two selections were both finished. I went for a Accolade from the house brewery - A Pale Ale. In fine condition, as you would expect. A proper boozers pub, with a long thin room stretching back and some very loyal locals. They do food - with two options on a Sunday. Not quite take it or leave it but Lamb or Beef. Mrs M was delighted. The only woman I know who would have a roast in a heatwave. Exceptionally pleasant staff. An enjoyable visit.
