The Coop, Liverpool

It's a fair walk from the nearest railway station (Blundellsands & Crosby) to this micropub which can be found in the latest Good Beer Guide. It is another good addition to the local micropub scene, but probably not the finest example of its kind in the area. The bar is to the rear left of the main room, whilst there is a small conservatory off to the rear right-hand side. The bar has 5 handpulls. On our visit, these were clipped with Black Lodge Baltic Best & Four Star Daydream, Colbier Adagio, Salopian Firkin Freezin' & Thornbridge Jaipur. Craft beers were Salopian Auric and my choice Abbeydale Pilgrim. Dogs are welcome and there were 3 present, almost as many as there were other customers. Other customers seemed to be quite friendly. You'd have to make a special effort to get out to this place. It's a good 10 or 15 minute walk to the Old Tap or the Homebrew Tap (the former Liverpool Pigeon), but you could just about incorporate into a bit of a crawl. I'm sure I'll be back some day.
