Copper House, Berkhamsted

Housed in an attractive old building ,this champagne and cocktail bar is only just compliant with the lising requirements for this site.You are confronted by a menu in a display case at the front door and will be pounced upon by a waiter once inside.This is primarily a restaurant.However just drinking is allowed at the champagne bar to the right ,but you must sit on the blue cocktail bar stools ,or else drinks can be brought outside to the wicker chaired courtyard space out front. Cocktails ,spirits and champagne mostly ,although there is Freedom Pale and Lager on keg.This is a poseurs paradise ,no real ale and no real pub atmosphere.I can see no reason to revisit.
