Produce Hall, Stockport

After finding most of the central bars in Stockport closed during a recent midweek evening visit, when many are advertised to be open, I was actually surprised to find Produce Hall open. This is a food hall with lots of small independent traders in the rear and a bar area in the front with a serving counter up the right wall. Twelve premium and craft fonts line up along a central white tiled section of the back bar, the kegs are actually stored under the counter and are visible through a transparent frontage. My visit was ten minutes before their 22:00 closing so they were a little reluctant to serve me, but they were ok when I agreed to knock back a swift half. These sorts of places seem to be very popular in Manchester at the moment, and I think they’re ok for a pint, but I wouldn’t stay any longer.
