The Arcade, Cannock

This fairly quirky place has been well described by Quinno, though I didn't have any problem about high prices as I went for a cask beer, which was £4/pint. There were two beers on, and as I don't like Salopian Lemon Dream I was very pleased to find that Wigan Brewhouse Dry Bones was absolutely gorgeous (NBSS 4), with a lovely dry finish. What a pity I only had time for a half before my train.

Funny little place that is grafted onto the side of a music shop. It’s an upmarket post-industrial feel crafty micro which I guess complements the Newhall. Of interest is the bulb-heavy CANNOCK sign above the servery and the Jack Torrance decal on the gents door. GBG listed with two cask, though I went keg via Dark Choc Ginger Biscuit by Yonder Brewing which was a nice drink, though the person whose round it was had a twitchy sphincter when the price was revealed as it’s a bit expensive for the area. That extends to the cobs, which were 3 quid. I thought this was a decent little place, though my travelling companions were less keen.
