Well described below, a busy but relaxed and well-organised food hall with a couple of bars. Downstairs had Doom Bar and upstairs no handpulls unless I managed to miss them, went for keg Jute and Pravha with prices steep but not quite as horrific as I feared. Wide range of food which should cover all tastes, the Mexican burrito bowls are excellent. It’s not a pub at all though, so hard to know how to rate it.

Two for the price of one in this big ex industrial building, presumably a cutlery works. The ground floor of the building houses a multitude of food and drink stalls as described. The bar area has the usual keg stuff and four pulls of fairly boring Doombar and stuff, upstairs is more interesting beer wise. Booze Hound is on the first floor and offers 3 kegs from Thornbridge on a horseshoe and six key kegs behind there's also a hand pump at each end of the bar back. The rest of the floor has a similar multitude of food and drink stalls to downstairs. And yes, a reminder that the place is entirely cashless and WhatPub lists the bars on each floor as separate entities.

I have come across this concept in European cities albeit on a much bigger scale, most noticeably in Florence and the famous Time Out market in Lisbon, so it’s very good to see Sheffield get one as well. As mentioned below it is an old industrial building that has been brought back to life as a restaurant and bar centre. The concept is that of a food hall where the seating is communal on large high and low tables down the middle of the space and then the various food and drink outlets go around the central seating. So you buy your food, select your tipple and then rock up on any spare place on the benches to enjoy it. It is over two floors and the reason it deserves to be on this site is that there are three bars over the two floors and you can come here just to drink. The downstairs Cutlery Works Bar stretches on the right hand side and offers the usual mainstream keg lager suspects but also has three ale handpumps. For our visit I believe one of these had a Kelham Island brew but I also went for the Hawkshead Pale which was in good condition, but at £4 a pint was probably the most expensive I’d seen it all day. A follow on visit the following day allowed me to explore the upstairs floor and at the end of this floor is another bar called the Boozehound bar which was actually a proper bar space with its own tables and chairs inside its section of the upstairs floor. This bar is more focussed on craft beer with about six or seven craft ale taps, several fridges of craft bottles and cans but also has two handpumps which seemed to have one from Thornbridge and one from Abbeydale when I did my walk by spotting. The third bar is a much smaller server area upstairs and seemed to be doing more artisan gins and sparkling wines from what I could see. I guess very late in the evening you will get people just coming for the bars but the Cuttlery works opens from 9.00AM in the morning (although I don’t think the bars actually start serving till 12) so most people will come here to take in the food, as we did. And as Mr CAMRA mentions below the Pie Mash and mushy Peas with Gravy from the Pie Eyed vendor was absolutely superb comfort food after a day on the beer. I believe I may have detected a little wince from the locally based Mr CAMRA at the £8.95 price tag for a pie, but my London based wallet was over the moon with this for what we enjoyed. And to reiterate the comment below, it is card only inside the Print Works so make sure you have one.

This is a selection of bars and restaurants within an old mill or warehouse. It's next door to The Gardeners, so it was a convenient pit stop for us after a very beery day. Lots of shared tables, both high and low. I ordered a pint of Hawkshead Pale and then an enamel plate full of steak pie, mash, mushy peas and gravy from Pie-Eyed which really hit the spot. Ms CAMRA and Gann both had the pork, black pudding and apple pies which also seemed to go down well as Ms CAMRA ate all hers without letting me have a taste. Very busy on a Friday night, especially considering it's quite a way out of central Sheffield. Some really won't like it, but I did and I suspect we'll be back. Note that the whole venue is cashless, so bring your card.
