Front Street Tap House, Whitley Bay

Micropub with a couple of rooms. The front one contains the bar itself and was reasonably busy on our Saturday evening visit. A second even smaller room to the rear had no available seating, meaning I didn't get to explore too far. Instead, we ended up grabbing some high stools around a drinking shelf in the front window. There is a regular cask ale from Cullercoats. On this visit, this was Shuggy Boat Blonde. Guests were Flash House Shy Bairns Get Hazelnut Stout & Almsasty Best Bitter. 2 ciders were both from Ascension - Wrath & Shimmy. Craft beers were Turning Point Hard Pivot, The Kernel Superdelic Citra, Full Circle Smug Club, Pentrich Flesh Spice, Two By Two Strata DDH Pale & Left-Handed Giant Take Me Nowhere. My hazelnut stout seemed to be past its best. Normally I do enjoy a stout, but this was a little disappointing. Nevertheless, the atmosphere in here was good and I'd certainly give it another try.
