Attic Brew Co Tap, Birmingham

Once through the yard with a couple of seating areas (one for smokers), you're into the brewery, where the seating is beer hall style on benches. The bar, as you'd expect, is predominantly Attic brews, and comprises 3 cask and about 12 kegs - I spotted a couple of guests on the kegs from Round Corner and Green Duck. I opted for a 3.4% Pale from Attic on handpump in order to start the afternoon in a sensible fashion, though it was a little too chilled to properly enjoy. Stirchley is full of bars and this one was certainly proving popular even at a time earlier than what I would tend to consider a normal after-work hour.

Inconspicuous brewery tap between Bournville station and Stirchley's high street, but rather bigger than one might expect once through the narrow (an unwelcoming) steel entrance gate. The first part is a marquee with a servery for pop-up food vendors, the next a partly covered yard with wooden benches, and the third the main building with the brewing equipment and bar. Cask Rumble (4.35) and Ritual available from a pair of handpumps, plus 15 craft keg beers from taps on the bar-back and another six from the hooped fount on the counter. Understandably, very busy on a Friday evening.

Very handy for the station and with trains direct to the Villa there were a few in here for a pre match drink - as was I! Street food vendor and a large selection of beers. I didn't note which I had but I know it was good! I will be calling again.
