Further to Blackthorn's review below on my visit today 50% of people were drinking and 50% eating so it has no issue with it being more food orientated and doesn't discriminate from people just walking in off the street.

Recently opened on the site of a former restaurant, there is still very much a focus on food here, and I was unsure whether it really warranted inclusion here or not. But there is a small range of drinks available on tap and you’re welcome to just stop for a drink, and there are a number of stools provided at the bar counter for this purpose. It’s arranged in a L-shape configuration, with a long, deep room to the right and a smaller room to the left. We sat in this smaller room, and this was a pleasant spot with good sized windows to watch the world go by. Flooring was some type of parquet wood, although with much thicker planks than would usually be the case, whilst the paintwork was a typical gastro-pub shade of green/grey. A number of large colourful pictures with a Spanish theme were on the back wall. The larger room to the right looked a little more blingy with mirrors on the walls and small mosaic tiling on the floor. Food was very much of the tapas variety, either nibbles such as cheese, charcuterie, olives and so on or hot dishes as well, and everything we had was pretty good. Not quite up there with Bravas or Paco Tapas perhaps, but still most enjoyable. There were no real ales on tap unfortunately, or any ales at all come to that, just a selection of Spanish lagers. The menu listed Alhambra Especial and Palax along with a “Guest Spanish Craft”, although I did not note what it was on this occasion. The solitary cider was the Spanish Avalon, which was a new one on me, not unsurprising perhaps as this is apparently the first place in the country to have it on tap. A tricky one to mark this, as a tapas restaurant it’s pretty good, but then this is a pub review website and if that’s what you’re after there are plenty of better options nearby, not least right next door.
