The Four-Ale Taproom, Gosport

A small rectangular shaped micropub with a mix of high and low seating. There were three cask ales on and now drawn from the bar via a tap system, the beers were Bowman Lapwing, Triple fff Altons Pride and Vale Electric Sheep, two Ciders, Sandford Orchards Devon Red and Lillys Rhubarb, keg beers were Paulaner Munchener Hell, Unbarred Casual Pale, Staggeringly Good Little Arms Big Ambitions , Pipeline Northern Lights and Maverick Drawing Pictures Of Mountains. This micro-pub has a slightly different look to most, with industrial-look furniture and up to eight casks on a twin-rack stillage with very prominent green cooling jackets. As you would expect from the name, four real ales are available at any one time: Old Slug from Pitchfork, Red Cat Prowler (£3.40), Triple fff Old Dray and Munby's from Fallen Acorn on my visit. Four craft keg beers and four draught ciders are also offered.
