The Queens Arms, Plymouth

Entering this quaint little pub gave me a sense of going into a dolls house dedicated to the Queen, with retro wallpaper, decorative red curtains tied back, the bar to the right, a continuous green sofa around the rest of the interior, and many pictures of Her Majesty around the walls. A slightly peculiar feeling being the only customer in this spotless place on a quiet Monday night, but the barmaid quickly made me feel at ease, I settled down to a couple of surprisingly drinkable pints of Bass (Tribute was also on), and other customers turned up. Unusual style, but really very comfortable. Live music on Sunday nights - the barmaid who served me had featured the previous night, doing a launch event for her first album.
